1. Introduction

PAL Aid ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the PAL Aid mobile application.

By using PAL Aid, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information — your name and email address when you create an account
• Profile data — blood type, medical conditions, and emergency contact you choose to enter in your ICE profile
• Usage data — how you interact with the app, guides you view, and features you use
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and push notification token
• Location data — approximate location used only to detect your country for emergency number auto-detection. We do not store your location.
• Incident reports — information you submit when reporting a safety incident

3. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the PAL Aid service
• To display the correct emergency number for your country
• To send push notifications about incidents and daily tips (if enabled)
• To process in-app purchases and manage your subscription
• To improve the app based on usage patterns
• To respond to support requests

4. Medical and ICE data

Your ICE profile (blood type, medical conditions, emergency contact) is stored securely and is only used to generate your QR code within the app. We do not share this data with third parties. This information is entirely under your control — you can update or delete it at any time from your profile.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect against unauthorised access.

6. Third-party services

PAL Aid uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Firebase — push notifications
• RevenueCat / Apple App Store — subscription management
• Anthropic Claude — AI assistant responses (your questions are processed but not stored by Anthropic for training without consent)

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Children's privacy
