PAL Aid

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using PAL Aid, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of service

PAL Aid is a first aid reference and emergency assistance application that provides:

• Step-by-step first aid guides for common injuries and emergencies
• AI-powered first aid guidance (Premium)
• Emergency number detection and dialling assistance
• ICE (In Case of Emergency) profile storage and QR code generation
• Safety incident reporting
• Offline guide access (Premium)

3. Medical disclaimer

PAL Aid is an informational tool only. The content provided in the app, including AI responses, first aid guides, and emergency procedures, is for general educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.

You should always:

• Call emergency services (999, 112, 911 or your local number) in any life-threatening situation
• Seek professional medical advice for any health concern
• Not rely solely on PAL Aid in a medical emergency

We are not responsible for any harm resulting from reliance on information provided by the app.

4. User accounts

To use PAL Aid, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

5. Premium subscriptions

PAL Aid offers premium features through monthly, yearly, and lifetime subscription options. By purchasing a subscription:

• Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings
• Lifetime purchases are a one-time payment with no recurring charges
• Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading incident reports
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the app
• Use the app to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems

7. User-generated content

When you submit incident reports, questions to the AI assistant, or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that content to provide and improve the service. You retain ownership of your content.

You are responsible for ensuring any content you submit is accurate and does not violate any third-party rights.

8. Intellectual property

PAL Aid and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAL Aid and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:

• Personal injury or death resulting from reliance on app content
• Loss of data or service interruption
• Any errors or inaccuracies in first aid content

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
